Draft to start Friday @ 5PM

The Draft is going to start Friday @ 5PM. Every person will have 24 hours to pick, but if that runs out you will have to pick a player before I get a replacement owner for you. If I find a replacement owner quicker than you can log on and pick beyond 24 hours, you will be kicked out of the league. In other words, don't go beyond that 24 hour limit, unless you want to show me you will be inactive.

Why does everyone get 24 hourse to make a pick?

I know it seems like a lot but some people can only check once a day. If we somehow get closer to the season and we aren't almost done, I will lessen the time limit.

Commish....is this like a real MLB team in the fact we need set up guys, closers, utility players....etc. Just curious???

You don't need any of that, but you'd need someone on your team to garner the saves and so on.

A little confused then....do we play actual games or this like fantasy....could you explain it to me. It seems to me that we would need a bullpen and all.

No, the games are played out and you actually need a bullpen, but there is no rule stating that a starting pitcher can't become a closer in this league. It would be harder for a closer to become a starting pitcher, however because they have a lot less stamina.

Is there a player pool we draft from so we can see who others have drafted and who is available to draft?

There is going to be a draft thing on the spreadsheet I will send to you. There isn't a certain player pool, but I'm going to limit you to any player that you want to draft, but they must be in at least the minor leagues.

so is it going to take 30 days to do the first round or how do we know when it is our turn to draft and whos avaiable

You are going to have to log on to see who has picked and when yours is up. I will also notify you when I get the chance. The players available will be all the players not listed on the player directory on the roster spreadsheet.

just checking in this seems awfully complicated as the season gets closer will u reexplain and clarify the rules

It's neither, this is a sim league. You don't get points based upon what happens in the real games, but games are, simulated, played out and gives me a final score and stats.

Yes it does. The simulator takes in stat updates and plays them out in a game. If a player is struggling in real life, they will struggle hear as well.

It ends up playing out something like a real baseball game.

Where are all the players on the player directory are they not there yet or something

They go on there after they are drafted. If they are not on there, they are available.
